Midnight Meme Of The Day!

by Noah

Even after Friday's 13 indictments, Kremlin Agent, Donald J. Trump refuses to defend America against Russia's cyber war on the core of our alleged democracy itself, a war he well knows Russia will step up later this year and in 2020. First, he brazenly asked for Russia's help during his campaign by asking for Hillary's emails, and we know now there is much, much more. More recently, he has refused to put the sanctions of Russia into place, even after they were voted on and approved by Congress. He took an oath to protect and defend the United States and the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic.

This isn't just appeasement. It is dereliction of duty, if one wants to be soft and polite. It's far worse if one wants to be realistic.

Trump only has one duty in his mind: Make Trump richer. All else is expendable in that effort.

By extension, then, the entire republican party is also violating their oaths of office.

And, not that this is anything new, Pelosi has already sworn to continue to violate her oath of office that she first made plain in 2006.

But of course you can and should argue that both parties and each of their "contributions" to the oval over the past 40 years have regularly (if not purely) violated their oaths.

If the constitution had been protected, we would still have 8 out of the 10 in the bill of rights enforced instead of politely ignored. If rule of law meant anything, trump, cheney and hundreds of others would now be in prison. If Nixon would have been jailed for his treason in '68, do you think Reagan would have committed his treason only 12 years later?

But it must be traced back to voters, as it always has been. If the constitution and rule of law meant anything at all to voters, practically nobody that's "served" since the late-'70s would have ever been elected to anything.
